25 November 08 - 18:59Thanksgiving...

After the November elections of 1864, Abraham Lincoln could see the light at the end of the tunnel. Just one month previously, he was convinced that the population wanted him out, and that he was doomed to lose the election to an opponent who was running on a platform of cutting a deal with the confederacy and ending hostilities, effectively severing the continent into two rival superpowers who would continue fighting the war, somewhere down the road and in the future, over the western territories.

His apprehensions were grounded in some measure of truth, too. The Confederate White House and Congress had made it very clear both publicly and privately, that, after the war was settled, they intended not only a westward expansion, but a move into Mexico, all but annexing that country as part of their “divine right” to rule the lesser races, as they put it. Lincoln, as well as this writer, perceived at least two more wars—most probably in the late 19th century and the early 20th century—in which ... (more)

25 November 08 - 08:07GAZA: World's largest concentration camp...

It has been two weeks since Israel imposed a complete closure of Gaza, after months when its crossings have been open only for the most minimal of humanitarian supplies. Now it is even worse: two weeks without United Nations food trucks for the 80% of the population entirely dependent on food aid, and no medical supplies or drugs for Gaza's ailing hospitals. No fuel (paid for by the EU) for Gaza's electricity plant, and no fuel for the generators during the long blackouts. Last Monday morning, 33 trucks of food for UN distribution were finally let in – a few days of few supplies for very few, but as the UN asks, then what?

Israel's official explanation for blocking even minimal humanitarian aid, according to IDF spokesperson Major ... (more)

25 November 08 - 07:47The System Implodes: The 10 Worst Corporations of 2008

2008 marks the 20th anniversary of Multinational Monitor’s annual list of the 10 Worst Corporations of the year.

In the 20 years that we’ve published our annual list, we’ve covered corporate villains, scoundrels, criminals and miscreants. We’ve reported on some really bad stuff — from Exxon’s Valdez spill to Union Carbide and Dow’s effort to avoid responsibility for the Bhopal disaster; from oil companies coddling dictators (including Chevron and CNPC, both profiled this year) to a bank (Riggs) providing financial services for Chilean dictator Augusto Pinochet; from oil and auto companies threatening the future of the planet by blocking efforts to address climate change to duplicitous tobacco companies marketing cigarettes around the world by associating their product with images of freedom, sports, youthful energy and good health.

But we’ve never had a year like 2008.

The financial crisis first gripping Wall Street and now spreading rapidly throughout the world is, in many ways, emblematic ... (more)

20 November 08 - 16:57Why Gold-Backed Currencies Help Prevent Wars

The below is a good article, but misses the main point. That the REASON for going to fiat currency over gold was to create chaos, war, death, and roller-coaster economies. Then, after a hundred years of destruction, doom, and desolation, people would be begging for a gold solution, as is being sung all across the planet. That gold solution - currencies again backed by gold - will be the new world order and it's solution to our problems. A one world gold backed money system. It's problem, reaction, solution: same as it ever was. And we are seeing it happen in real time.

Same as it ever was...

07 November 08 - 16:054 oz Tower Buster

Due to increasing demand for a larger towerbuster than the usual and just as effective slimline towerbusters I've been making for over six years, am now producing 4 oz towerbusters, complete with larger xtals, coloring stones like garnet or whatever happens to come to mind at the time of manufacture.

Some people feel that only a TB that large is effective or even useful. As anyone knows who has been around orgone since the beginning - as I have - this is a fallacy of the very nature of orgone. Size isn't the issue, quality is. Quality materials, attention to detail, are of moment. Making your orgone while in the best of spirits, matters.

Thank you.
