ACT I. SLEEPY HOLLOW REVISITED
Enter Hurricane Katrina
Hurricane Katrina made landfall at New Orleans on August 29, which happens to be the Roman Catholic and Greek Orthodox feast of the “Beheading of John the Baptist.” As well, John the Baptist along with John the Evangelist are venerated as the patron saints of Freemasonry. The “Holy Saints John” serve as an occult blind, however, “John” being the Roman variant of Janus/Jana, the two-headed, bisexual god who was known in Greece as Diana/Artemis, and in France as Jean/Jeanne. In his Masonic tome Morals & Dogma, Albert Pike, disclosed that the entire “Johannite” worship was an Illuminist ruse to deceive the Roman Catholic hierarchy and monarchies of the Holy Roman Empire:
“This idea presided at the foundation of the great religious orders, so often at war with the secular authorities, ecclesiastical or civil. Its realization was also the dream of the dissident sects of Gnostics or Illuminati who pretended to connect their faith with the primitive tradition of the Christianity of Saint John...
“The Templars, like all other Secret Orders and Associations, had two doctrines, one concealed and reserved for the Masters, which was Johannism; the other public, which was the Roman Catholic. Thus they deceived the adversaries whom the sought to supplant. Hence Free-Masonry, vulgarly imagined to have begun with the Dionysian Architects or the German Stone-workers, adopted Saint John the Evangelist as one of its patrons, associating with him, in order not to arouse the suspicions of Rome, Saint John the Baptist, and thus covertly proclaiming itself the child of the Kabalah and Essenism together.”
In other words, the Knights Templar pretended to worship John the Baptist/Evangelist to conceal their Jewish Kabbalism (from cabal meaning secret, occult) and the fact that they secretly worshipped the goddess Ashtoreth (Diana/Janus/Jana), as did their ancient master, King Solomon:
“For Solomon went after Ashtoreth the goddess of the Zidonians, and after Milcom the abomination of the Ammonites...
“And the high places that were before Jerusalem, which were on the right hand of the mount of corruption, which Solomon the king of Israel had builded for Ashtoreth the abomination of the Zidonians,..” (I Kings 11:5; 2 Kings 23:13)
Thus the medieval Knights Templar were Jewish Kabbalists masquerading as Christian warrior monks and represented a Fifth Column within the Roman Catholic Church. The sole objective of these Kabbalist Jews was to use Christendom to regain the Holy Land and to rebuild the Temple of Solomon in Jerusalem, as Albert Pike revealed in Morals & Dogma. Following their near extermination on the continent of Europe in 1307, this medieval Mafia fled to Scotland where they took cover in the ancient guilds that were the forerunners of Freemasonry. To deceive the lower orders of Masons, the Templars not only feigned devotion to John the Baptist but portrayed Jesus Christ as a rival messiah who had arranged for John’s beheading to acquire his messianic title and following.
Katrina’s landfall on the “Feast of the Beheading of John the Baptist” would seem an irrelevant coincidence were it not for a famous short story penned by Washington Irving (1783–1859) not long after the Revolutionary period in the United States. The female protagonist in “The Legend of Sleepy Hollow” was named “Katrina” and, in the tale, a mysterious “Headless Horseman” occasioned the disappearance of one Ichabod Crane, a puritanical country schoolmaster. Ichabod’s Biblical namesake was the grandson of Eli, the apostate high priest of Israel. I Samuel 4:22 records Ichabod’s birth and the significance of his name:
“And his daughter in law, Phinehas’ wife, was with child, near to be delivered: and when she heard the tidings that the ark of God was taken, and that her father in law and her husband were dead, she bowed herself and travailed; for her pains came upon her. And about the time of her death the women that stood by her said unto her, Fear not; for thou hast born a son. But she answered not, neither did she regard it. And she named the child Ichabod, saying, The glory is departed from Israel: because the ark of God was taken, and because of her father in law and her husband. And she said, The glory is departed from Israel: for the ark of God is taken.”
Strong’s Concordance translates “Ichabod” as “(there is) no glory, i.e. inglorious).” Israel’s glory departed when the Ark of the Covenant was stolen by the Philistines, who placed it among the pantheon of idols in their pagan temple. Can it be that “The Legend of Sleepy Hollow” has an esoteric meaning related to the nation of Israel and the Ark of the Covenant? Let us attempt some analysis of the characters and plot:
